Entry # 21 day 14

Today makes 2 weeks on the road, I could not find a hotel or campground within my 50 mile range so  this will be a long day. I had to fuel up on 2 packs of  apple flavored oatmeal with dehydrated peanut butter and a beer, don’t judge me I had to use dehydrated peanut butter the real stuff is too heavy.

Beautiful country roads for the first 8 miles, had to hide in a ditch while a harvester? Came down the
road. I don’t have a picture of it but imagine a 20 foot wide 20 foot tall pair of hair clippers on wheels  coming at you. You can only see a tiny piece of it in the third picture, its near the tree.

Finally I found an Esso gas station, I was beginning to regret having to carry around my Esso rewards card all this time.

Maybe not the best view of Richmond but here is some of it.

The start of the Virginia Capital Trail it runs Richmond to Williamsburg are, awesome trail did about 40 miles of it.

Saw a train drawbridge, boat lock, and the old Lucky Strike factory, not sure who the big guy is that is climbing out of the building and how he got in there in the first place.

They are tearing down the old mills and putting up new housing.

I want to know who the twisted bastard is that put a downhill sign at the beginning of every uphill climb, I felt like I was part of a psychological experiment, now I hate downhill signs.

Another bridge picture and I promised myself I would not take anymore but I kinda liked this one.

A bamboo grove? I thought I was in Malaysia for a minute.

I met this fine gentleman on the Virginia Capital Trail he was going camping and we struck up a conversation, it was fun talking to someone with the same interests, the miles went by quickly. The thing that I thought was ironic was that the German rider I had met was named Norman and this guy was from Virginia and his name was Franz, you cant make this stuff up.

I hope this sign was for the vaccine.

This is my home for the night after 72 miles today, by the end of the day the only thing I could think of was my favorite Military Hero Major Assburn. The wind is blowing so hard right now I let the fire go out for fear of burning down the campground, my only hope is that the wind blows all the Fire ants off my tent, should be a great night.
