Entry #16 Day 9

Left Aberdeen early this morning trying to beat the rain, I wanted to get to the Annapolis area somewhat dry, so much for that idea who would have thought that Maryland has hills to slow you down. I was still able to get 58 miles in so it was a good day overall.

This was one of the many crab shacks I rode by, you know what they say “ It ain’t Maryland if you ain’t got crabs”  hey maybe the board of tourism could use that slogan, naw they wouldn’t use it, the word “ain’t” dosen’t sound classy.

A couple of roadside attractions for the Grand kids to see, a patriotic Triceratops for my Dino loving granddaughter Eliza, and a giant Gorrila for Isaac. Unfortunately the giant Gorrila reminded me of the giant statue in the Sopranos opening credits and I started humming the Sopranos theme song all over again.

This storm drain could ruin your day, your best hope was that the nip bottles would keep your front wheel from falling through the holes, you would definitely be spitting out Chicklets if your front wheel fell in.

Took a couple pictures of the Inner Harbor but I didn’t stay here long. My wife and I had spent a weekend here and had such a great time, I didn’t want to confuse the memories of that great trip, I really miss her.

This sign scared me , I thought I took a wrong turn.

Just a bridge on the Baltimore Annapolis trail, for some reason I always feel compelled to take pictures of bridges?

I came across this Ranger station on the trail I was anxious to use the bathroom but it was locked, so I decided to put air in my bike tires at this cool repair station until I read the sign on the air pump, oh well I can always put air in tomorrow. Despite the rain all an all it was a good day.
