6th entry going back 1 year


So in the fall I continued riding the Greenway leaving Hampton NH and riding to Milford CT
This was my campsite on Winter Island in Salem MA. It’s not much to look at but.....
But this view was worth it.
I had added a trailer to help carry more junk, which is nice to have more stuff at the campsite but not so nice when you have to peddle all that junk up a big hill.

The Airline trail and the Farmington Heritage trail were awesome. This trip ended in Milford CT where my wife met me to bring me home.

I believe last night was my best night of sleep in my tent, I woke up dry and rested. I had plans of going to church at St Mildreds in Swansboro for a 9 AM Mass and the church was 11 miles away. I picked up camp quickly, I didn’t have time for a proper breakfast so I had a vanilla protein bar and a Bud Light, made for a nice little combo meal of protein and carbs. I then peddled as fast as I could stopping only to pick up a little road treasure, it was a Kobalt folding utility knife with a blue handle....very nice find. I also stopped to take a picture of the typical road debris in this area. This is a picture of St Mildreds, I made it here with 2 minutes to spare and in my opinion I don’t think I stunk too bad. Entry #50 day 41

So here it  is my ticket home, I rented this from Enterprise for a one way rental to be dropped off at the Manchester Airport. Hey and take notice Amtrak all my gear that you didn’t think would fit in a baggage car, look at that it all fits in a Nissan Rogue, if you would like you can hire me as a consultant I can show you how to load a train. So I took off from Miami International around 10:30 AM and drove all the way to Maryland where I stopped at the  Chesapeake House Service Plaza at around 2 AM, did about 1100 miles on Sunday, I just wanted to get past Washington so I wouldn’t have to deal with the traffic on Monday morning. I did fuel up at South Of the Border, no road trip to or from Florida is complete without stopping at this cool place.
