14th entry Day #7

I am writing this entry by the campfire, now this is what I have been waiting for. I am spending the night at Elk Neck State Park in Maryland and it is an absolutely beautiful night. There are a fire flies flickering in the fields and bugs making crazy noises, I already saw about 13 elk wandering through the campground, I am pretty sure I know how this campground got it’s name.

Getting here was no picnic, I traveled 46 miles and stopped at McDonalds for a Quarter Pounder with cheese, they accidentally gave me a double Quarter pounder by mistake ........Score.After I had a full belly I did the final 12 miles to get to the campground. The road getting here was like a rollercoaster, I hit speeds as high as 34 MPH then pushed the bike up the next hill. I am dreading going back out
that road tomorrow but for now it was so worth it. At least tomorrow I wont have a belly full of burger.

Here is an example of some of the beautiful sights I saw on the way in, probably should not have taken this picture I am probably on a watchlist now.

I guess the Delaware Board of Tourism didn’t want to spend too much money welcoming you when you traveled in on the route I used.

Stopped at Ryder for a pit stop, one of the fringe benefits for working at Ryder.......but unfortunatelyfor me they were closed.

Lunch wasn’t so special but then neither was the view from my table.

Sweet Jump!!!!!

Did not expect to see a pirate ship today....you hardly ever see pirates after Labor Day.

Made it into Maryland, that’s a record for me on this trip 3 states in 1 day, not much chance of that happening again this trip

Learned a valuable lesson today, put the sunscreen on the head before the helmet, now I have damn racing stripes on my head, oh Yah another lesson don’t take too many selfies in the restroom, people give you strange looks when you do that.
