10th entry Day #3
Day 3 came up quick but I felt good in the morning. I rode through some beautiful neighborhoods in New Rochelle and then jumped on some nice trails, everything was going great until the GPS sent me straight through the Bronx Zoo where I was immediately stopped by security, he informed me that I could cut through the zoo but I would need to buy a ticket for $22 so needless to say I tried to go around, I should have spent the money.
After some time I made it to the Hudson River Trails, if you ever visit Manhattan rent a bike and ride those trails it is the best way to visit the Big Apple. I had to stop for lunch along the trail at a nice outdoor cafe so I could recharge my new phone, come to find out I had just hit a wrong button and dimmed the screen so much I couldn’t see it but at least the soup and beer was good.
I tried to visit Ground Zero but it was Sept 11th and the ceremonies were still going on so I jumped on the ferry to Hoboken and peddled to my hotel in Secaucus NJ. The hotel was a little further out than I wanted to go but every hotel was sold out in the area.

$22 to bike thru the zoo! How much so the guard would just look the other way? LOL
